The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), through its Business, Entrepreneurship, Skills and Technology (BEST) Centre, has partnered with CEESOLAR Energy Limited to equip businesses with practical knowledge on sustainability and effective energy management.

The Sustainability and Energy Management Seminar, held at the ACCI BEST Centre, brought together business representatives and stakeholders to explore strategies for improving energy efficiency, reducing operational costs, and adopting sustainable energy solutions.

Welcoming participants, the Director of the BEST Centre, Dr Tinuke Temitope, who spoke on behalf of the Chamber, reaffirmed ACCI’s commitment to strengthening businesses through capacity-building initiatives that enhance productivity and long-term growth. She noted that the BEST Centre was established to provide a world-class learning environment that equips individuals and organisations with the skills required to remain competitive in a changing business environment.

Representing the Director of the National Policy Advocacy Centre (NPAC), Dr Chidiebere Onwumere, Policy Officer, Adetoye Kayode, highlighted the impact of energy challenges on businesses across Nigeria. He stated that NPAC has continued to advocate for reforms in the power sector, recognising reliable energy supply as essential to industrial development and economic growth.

He added that while policy reforms are critical, businesses also require practical solutions to manage present challenges. He commended the BEST Centre and CEESOLAR Energy for creating a platform that connects policy conversations with actionable business solutions.

Speaking on behalf of CEESOLAR Energy Limited, the Head of Business Development, Favour Iyoke, who represented the Chief Executive Officer, Chibueze Ekeh, appreciated ACCI for the partnership and emphasised the importance of sustainable energy practices in driving business efficiency.

She explained that sustainability extends beyond environmental protection, noting that it also involves developing reliable and cost-effective energy solutions that support businesses and communities.

The seminar featured knowledge-sharing sessions on sustainability strategies, energy management practices, renewable energy solutions, and ways businesses can optimise energy consumption. Participants were also encouraged to leverage the free energy audit opportunity provided as part of the initiative.
