The Abuja of Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) in collaboration with SEQUA, yesterday concluded the validation exercise on the final draft of occupational profiles (OPs) for office administration and Technical facility maintenance.
The workshop held at ACCI BEST Centre on friday 30th October 2020 would play a crucial role in defining standards and provide the pursuit with the needed expertise to precisely meet industry expectations and correlate with the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF).
The objectives of the exercise was to allow for expert/practitioners inputs, suggestion and the validation of the identified Occupational Profiles associated with each Trade and Levels (1, 2 and 3) for office administration and Technical facility maintenance, as sourced from practitioners at workshop and interviews earlier organized in Lagos, Kano and Abuja.
The Local Short Term Expert and Director of ACCI BEST Centre, Mrs Tinuke Temitope encourage the participants to give honest review and suggestion on the draft occupational profiles.
Mr Jonathan Osadolor the TVET Partnership Coordinator of SEQUA also encouraged participants to see the process as a contribution towards national development and reiterate the commitment of SEQUA with the support of GIZ SKYE to ensure the development of a standard and acceptable occupational profiles and curriculum for Technical and Vocational Education in Nigeria.
