Introducing the Programme “Migration for Development” (PMD) to Businesses and Organizations in Abuja, Nigeria

“Value-Adds By German-Trained Nigerian Returning Experts”

The Programme “Migration for Development” (PMD) is commissioned by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and jointly implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the German Employment Agency (BA) under the auspices of the Centre for International Migration and Development (CIM). The Module 1 of PMD is aimed at harnessing the potentials of well-trained and highly-qualified migrants in Germany for the development of their home countries, while Module 11 creates prospects and new opportunities for returning migrants in the countries of origin.

In practical terms, the professional know-how, broad networks, intercultural skills and personal experiences that returning experts bring with them from Germany can help local employers to increase productivity and improve their competitive edge in their respective industries. The Programme also provides information on regular ways of labour migration to Germany, labour market perspectives both in Germany and Nigeria, as well as social and economic reintegration of migrants who return to Nigeria.

Since 2015, Nigeria has become a full partner country for this Programme and we, the PMD Coordinators would be more than delighted to introduce the Programme to you and your organization.

Remember – Expertise, specialized knowledge and innovative ideas and methods are also affordable!
