777 TRAINEES. 7 TSPs. ONE SHARED COMMITMENT TO SKILLS DEVELOPMENT.


On the 2nd of October 2026, ACCI BEST Centre joined six other Technical Skills Providers (TSPs) in Abuja for the official flag-off ceremony of the Federal Ministry of Education’s IDEAS-TVET training programme, celebrating the ongoing training and reaffirming a shared commitment to equipping Nigerian youths with practical, market-relevant skills.

While training activities have already commenced across the participating Technical Skills Providers, the flag-off ceremony provided an opportunity to formally recognise the programme, bring stakeholders together, celebrate the trainees, and highlight the importance of technical and vocational education in preparing young Nigerians for opportunities in the world of work.

The ceremony, held at the Abuja Trade & Convention Centre, Abuja, brought together representatives of the seven participating TSPs, dignitaries, project officials, stakeholders, and trainees, with 777 trainees participating across the seven training providers.

The participating TSPs are:

  • 🔹 Onidiri Home of Beauty
  • 🔹 Gemological Institute of Nigeria (GIN)
  • 🔹 iLearn Learning Spaces
  • 🔹 Binley and Bramble, in partnership with School Hunters
  • 🔹 Germnig Consultants Limited
  • 🔹 Dari Investments Limited


    • The event featured the arrival and registration of guests, opening prayer, the National Anthem, and the introduction of dignitaries and participating TSPs. It also included a welcome address by the President of ACCI, goodwill messages, a speech by the National Project Coordinator of IDEAS-TVET, and an overview of the IDEAS-TVET Project by the Programme Officer.

    One of the highlights of the ceremony was the Trainees’ Experience at the TSPs, where trainees had the opportunity to share their experiences and perspectives from their respective training centres, offering a glimpse into the impact of the ongoing programme.

    The ceremony concluded with closing remarks and a group photograph with dignitaries, marking another significant milestone in the implementation of the IDEAS-TVET programme in Abuja.

    For ACCI BEST Centre, the ceremony was an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to skills development and to celebrate the progress already being made by our trainees. Through practical training, hands-on learning, and exposure to relevant industry skills, we continue to support individuals in building capabilities that can contribute to entrepreneurship, employability, and sustainable livelihoods.

    As the training continues, we remain committed to supporting our trainees throughout their learning journey and creating an environment where skills can be developed, ideas can grow, and opportunities can take shape.
