Happy International Women’s Day from the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business Enterpreneurship Skills and Technology (ACCI-BEST) Centre.

In commemoration of year 2024 International Women’s Day with the theme - Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress, the BEST Centre of ACCI under the leadership of Chief Emeka Obegolu PhD SAN has opened its learning portal, calling applicants to participate in learning about how to Mainstream Gender and Disability Inclusion along different career paths. The Gender and Disability Inclusion e-course is a project that stemmed out of the partnership that exists between the Deutsche Gesellschaft for Internationale Zusammensarbeit (GIZ) and ACCI. The achievement of gender equality is the fifth of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) laid out in the Sustainable Development Agenda. Ten additional goals include gender-specific benchmarks, acknowledging the interconnection between women’s empowerment and a better future for all. One of the key challenges in achieving gender equality by 2030 is an alarming lack of financing with a staggering USD 360 billion annual deficit in spending on gender-equality measures. The time for change is now! Join us on 8 March 2024 for International Women’s Day as we rally behind the call to “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress”. As a way of contributing our quota to promoting Gender and Disability Inclusion, we are calling on all eligible and intending participants to take advantage of our scholarship scheme.
